We are here in today’s post to fill you in on all things fun that you can participate in for the rest of July in the DFW area! Local events are a great way to participate in your community and feel more connected to where you live. Here are five events going on in the rest of July that you can check out.
1) Dallas Zoo Summer Camps

If your kids are fascinated by the zoo and animals, one of these weeklong summer camps would be a great option! These camps run daily from July 13th through August 13th and are grouped by grade level. Camps include tours, games, projects, and encounters with the animals! 2) Dallas Arboretum: Return of ZimSculpt

The Arboretum is a favorite of all locals in DFW. If you head to the Arboretum from now through August 8th, you can get a look at the summer event of the year! Featured are a world renowned collection of sculptures from the people of Zimbabwe. Don’t miss out on this unique display of stonework! Admission is $15 and the event runs from 9am to 5pm daily.
3) Lindsey Stirling

Are you a fan of this world class violinist? Then you can’t miss this concert on Lindsey’s North American Tour! Located at the Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory, enjoy this wonderful display of talent and look into meet and greet packages for this incredible musician. The event takes place on July 23rd at 7pm. 4) Texas Mineral and Fossil Dallas/Frisco Show

If you are into geology and learning more about fossils, this event is for you! On July 16th-18th from 10am to 6pm, you can learn and look at amazing rocks and minerals from several different vendors. Admission is free and kids even get to take home free rocks! This is a great show to come watch and bring family + friends to. It will be located at 7601 Gaylord Pkwy in Frisco.
5) Killis Melton Ice Cream Festival

National Ice Cream Day is coming up! This is the event you want to be at for this great day. Located in McKinney, this event will be filled with food, entertainment, games, and of course, ICE CREAM! Wristbands for the event are only $10 and it is on July 18th from 11am to 3pm on Chestnut Square. Don’t miss out on this amazing family event!
The summer heat may be setting in, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some activities in the metroplex for the rest of the month. Have fun making memories and being part of the community!
