Volunteer Opportunities in DFW
Now that it’s summer, it is the perfect time to get out of the house and spend some time in the community! There is nothing more rewarding than giving back to the people in this wonderful place we live in. If you are looking for some high quality places to donate your time, we have five amazing places for you to learn more about!
1) Minnies Food Pantry
Located: 661 18th Street Plano, TX 75074
Hours of Operation: Wednesday - Saturday, 8:30am to 11:30am
The goal of Minnies is to provide the basic healthy food people need and give educational resources for children. They have had a huge impact on the community by giving over 15 million meals to families! You can donate food to the organization or go volunteer in person. 2) Dallas Habitat for Humanity
Located: 2800 N Hampton Road Dallas, TX 75212
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
The Habitat for Humanity has a mission of building homes for those who are in need. Any skill level is able to volunteer and help with these homes. Volunteers are also able to help at their “ReStore” locations which offer low prices on home improvement tools and supplies. Click here to register to volunteer or learn more.

3) North Texas Food Bank
Located: 3677 Mapleshade Lane Plano, TX 75075
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
At the NTFB, almost 97 million meals have been provided to people in need. You can join in this cause by volunteering to help in many different ways! Click here to browse the different opportunities at the Food Bank, like working at the distribution center or the mobile pantry.

4) Dallas Life Foundation
Located: 1100 Cadiz Street Dallas, TX 75215
Hours of Operation: Open 24 hours
The Dallas Life homeless shelter is the largest shelter in North Dallas. They do a wonderful job of taking in those who are struggling and helping them turn their lives around. They have an option to volunteer from your home, or you can click here to fill out an application to go in person!

5) The Bridge
Located: 1818 Corsicana Street Dallas, TX 75201
Hours of Operation: Open 24 hours
The Bridge is a homeless recovery center that helps adults obtain the tools to move into sustainable housing. They are open 24/7 to help people without homes in all aspects. Volunteers that attend the location must be 18 or older, but they offer many different opportunities for all ages. Click here to find out what service you can provide on or off the site!
