1 Dallas Winter Festival at the Arboretum

The ‘Holiday at the Arboretum’ event hosted annually is one of Dallas’ favorite events! Their 12 Days of Christmas event is going on during the day, and lights up at night! No matter what time your family prefers to go, this will be an amazing experience.

What is it?
Christmas celebrations are complete with a village, Santa Claus, entertainment, food/drinks, shopping, and more. The day time event has a Victorian-style display with gazebos and festival. What days and times?
12 Days of Christmas daytime hours: November 7- December 31 from 9am-5pm.
12 Days of Christmas night hours: November 27- December 30. Sunday through Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm, and Thursday through Saturday from 6pm to 10pm.
Christmas village daytime hours: November 27- December 31 from 9am to 5pm.
Christmas village night hours: November 27- December 30. Sunday through Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm, and Thursday through Saturday from 6pm to 10pm.
How much?
Daytime Admission: Child (2-12) $12, Senior (65+) $14, Adult (13-64) $17

2 Ice Skating at the Galleria Mall

The Grapevine Mills (or Galleria) mall located in Grapevine, Texas is one of the biggest shopping centers in the metroplex. Get all your last minute Christmas shopping done here, and stop by the famous ice skating rink for some entertainment!

What is it?
At the center of this ice skating rink stands a 95 foot tall Christmas tree, making it the tallest in the nation. When you walk into the mall, you can’t miss it! Ice skating makes the experience complete, and it’s a blast if you need something to do with friends or family! (They space out groups of people and require masks in order to maintain safety guidelines)

3 Frisco Christmas in the Square

If you live in the north Dallas area, you can’t miss this Christmas tradition! The Frisco Square light show is the perfect quick event if you want to get out with your family. The best part, you don’t even have to get out of your car!

What is it?
You can drive through the square and enjoy the choreographed light show set to Christmas music (turn radio station to 107.3 FM). If you would like, there is a list of scheduled events throughout the square, such as visits with Santa or horse carriage rides for an additional fee.
What days and times?

4 Dallas Zoo Lights

This classic event has been reinvented in a drive-thru fashion so you can experience a Christmas safari from your own vehicle! This is a great family option as well. The Zoo will close at 4pm every day to allow for this event.

What is it?
This incredible event is a chance to look at familiar aspects of the Dallas Zoo while enjoying millions of lights, along with displays. Tickets must be purchased online before entry! Don’t forget to click here to go to the website and learn more specifics about what to do beforehand.

November 20- January 9, 2021 from 6pm-9:30pm. Certain days will be closed for the holidays.
How much?
$65 per car
